Correspondence to Charles Edward Brooks, 1891-1905.

Contains fourteen letters between Ames and his father, Charles Edward Brooks, and also two items from Sallie Ames Brooks to her husband, one of which is written on the reverse side of a letter from Ames. These items were written during summer vacations in upstate New York and New England, sojourns in Europe and Ames's time at Princeton University. Many of these items contain anecdotes about and references to Van Wyck Brooks.
